Guest Post - Healthier Dog Food

Hello Everyone, We wanted to bring some awareness that not all dog food is created equal.  There are some out there that are very good and some that are very bad.  Here is a small list of just some of the ingredients that should not be in dog food. 

1. Corn- Cannot be easily digested by dogs
2. Corn Gluten Meal- waste of corn
3. BHA ( Perservative)- linked to cancer
4. BHT ( Perservative)- linked to cancer
5. Wheat - source of allegies for dogs
6. Poultry Meal -  all the left over pieces from chicken that is not used, like intestines, eyes, beaks, feet! 

Now here are some great choices for dog food:

1. Fromm Family Dog Food
2. Newman's Own Organic Dog Food
3. Blue Buffalo Dog Food
4. Holistic Select
5. Castor and Pollux Pet Food

Now here are some of the worst ones on the market...So if your dog is eating any of the following, it's time to change.

1. Ol' Roy Dog Food
2. Kibbles n' Bits
3. Alpo Dog Food
4. Beneful Dog Food
5. Pedigree Dog Food

The more you look into it the more information you will find.  I know our dogs are a part of our family and we love them dearly.  Feeding them the best food you possibly can will ensure better health and more years of having your buddy around.  Here are some links with more information on dog food.
